I like how he used the original non-GID colors in a much more freehanded way on this custom. It may be less traditional as a kaiju colorway but I like it better. |

Yes the colours are beautifully arranged, very enticing. |

Not "hatin" but it's so similar to the original that I'm not super impressed. Nothing technical though, it's well done and cool, but if it wasn't so close to the OG I'd be a bit more taken by it. Still cool though. |

Just for purposes of comparison, here is a stock photo of the production yellow version, followed by Mark's custom (I like 'em both, but have to say that I like the custom more):

i think one of the best things about this custom is the eyes.....i like how he has changed the directions..... i would prefer the production pieces to have similar eye placement.... makes it look very marty feldmanish... |

They're interesting. They don't do much for me, but to each their own. I agree with you BD. They look almost the same to me as well. |

I like the fact that it is hand-painted by an artist I have met. Bought another custom Eyezon by Mark from the same show... was just screwing around trying to get some good pics of it under indoor light - couldn't do it. But had fun screwing around and came up with an interesting image, I think, anyway:
Just kept tweaking the light, contrast and color dials. The original is mostly orange/yellow with red eyes and black pupils. The "horns" are light colored. End result doesn't look like the original, but I like it anyway. I will get some other shots in the next couple of days under natural light outdoors and just post them on Omni-Monster if anyone is interested. |
