Finally got a few of my long term 'wants' out of the way today. Full sets gets expensive but I managed to pick up 2 of them loose away from their Garamon pets. Got the brown on YJA for 1200 yen- I love it when toys go out of fashion!

I like those little guys. The paint seems to have been inspired by the M1 figures. |

Nice one, Mondo! The b/w took me a while to get, too. Now, if I can just find someone willing to part with just the Ultraseven Kubrick set sans watch so I don't have to pony up $200 for it. Plover - those are the only Semi-Ningen from the set. |

It was just a sculpted Medicom Garamon with a Kubrick Semi-Ningen. There was also a Medicom Kanegon w/ Kubrick boy and a Medicom Woo with Kubrick Girl. |

I haven't seen these before. Look cool. Didn't there used to be a Kubrick section on the forum? I wonder why that disappeared.... |

Actually, Hillsy- and I've been trawling for the past ten minutes, with no luck in finding a pic- there was a Garamon Kubrick, in two versions: b&w mono and a red. I had (and sold) both, some time ago. The first time this Semi-Ningen was marketed, I believe (and don't quote me on this- things are fuzzy- my crs is really acting up) it was as a set w/ the Garamon. I'll keep looking for a pic...maybe I have the ones I took when I sold mine on eBay somewhere. I haven't seen one on YJA in a long time. |

There's no mention of any garamon Kubricks in the medicom manual. heres what the full sets would look like (from the medicom book), and a picture to give you an idea of scale. The tokyo tower is even bigger than the garamon. They are all collaborations using original sculpts from M1, Poppy, and X-plus, rather than original medicom sculpts. If I had the space I'd get everything, but the collection can't be seen to be visibly expanding too fast

There's no mention of any garamon Kubricks in the medicom manual. It's entirely possible that the figures I'm thinking of were not real, Medicom-made Kubricks; but they were definitely brick-style Garys. The head, arms and torso were softly detailed, SD-type sculpts, and then they had little generic brick-legs sticking out below. I could swear that I bought one packaged with one of the S-N's, at some point...but that could be the drugs talking, too... I hope someone else can provide info or pics of what I'm talking about, 'cause I'm coming up empty. And this picture rocks, mondo.....

Very cool. I don't have any Kubricks myself, but I would certainly add the green one to my collection if I did. Love the Kaiju style paint ap! |

The Garamons were not Medicom, it was mini-mates or some lame name like that. I have them somewhere but dont know where as usual! I just remembered, Tini-Biz!!!!!!! I need the Kanegons. |
