Those clearly are sandals, which are bad, but they are not flip flops! Frank wants to make that very clear.

I'm always on the fence about this figure. I've had numerous chances to pick one up but I'm always like "Ehhhhh does it really fit in?" Then again lately i've been thinking some of those nice M1 pilot looking figures would balance out all the monsters. Or maybe he'd go well with the Woos. Kinda looks like a caveman more than Frankenstein even though I know he's from 'Frankenstein Conquers the World' which i never saw...

Ya gotta see it! Er, not that it's a "good" movie,but as oldskool kaiju movies go, it's definitely one of the more entertaining ones for its cheese and bad science and crazy plot and most of all ... Baragon!

He does have ties with the Godzilla universe; as xoconostle pointed out.

{slight spoiler alert}

Plus, doesn't he become one of the Gargantuas in "War of the.." ?

Its my favorite Kaiju movie by far from the older films. Its not perfect but it doesn't play to the kiddies like some of the other Godzilla and Gamera films.

Everyone owes it to themself to see it though.

Frankenstein vs. Baragon is one of my top Toho faves, but mostly for Baragon. That scene where he's eating the farm animals cracks me up every time.

Thats the exact scene I recall when I think of Baragon, the horse going crazy! That and when Frank has him by the tail as he trys to ditch the fight by burrowing into the earth.

:D

I don't remember where it was, but somewhere I read that when Tsuburaya was putting the scene with the horse together, someone told him they could composite in an actual horse instead of going with the puppet. He declined, saying, "No, it will be funnier this way."

The part where the feathers are coming out of his mouth, too, priceless.

After seeing that movie I realized why there were so many Baragon toys made back then.

It's easy to like Baragon, his sheer glee of being a monster gets me every time.
