We moved cross country back in late November and setup shop in a rental house while our new place is built. Everything went into storage. In the old house, I had the whole downstairs packed with toys and art. In the new place, I really only have my office to mess with. To keep my brain inspired and show off the best of my best, I started setting up in this built in bookshelf. Once I did that, I realized I had a lot of paring down to do to make it work best. Now I'm happier with less and really enjoy not overdoing the display. The Cronic stuff is on my other bookshelf in the office. Enjoy. The funk

Way cool bunch of stuff I don't see everyday, there's something I want in every pic! Did Polyestercowboy create the big Matango? |

Thanks all. The matango/akatango is from polystercowboy. It's just an amazing piece of work. I remember when the huge box showed up at work, people were like "what now"? When I pulled it out, seeing the looks on their faces was priceless. |

I love the Bwana handpaints! Also - the ceramic Matango is pretty nice - looks a fair size bigger than the standard ones? |

ditto on the big ceramic matango - I've got one and it's amazing. In fact, you just reminded me it's time to do a trade to get another. |

this collection is VERY well displayed. I'm a detolf hater. And this is very similar to how I'd like to display my toy collection when I move out of my current apt. sweet collection of customs. Is the dragamel a custom paint too? by t.b.? |

The Matango is large, at least 14-15 inches. And solid - one piece. I asked for a matching Akatango and he was happy to oblige. Such a nice family. The large dragamel is a HP from Mr. Biskup. I picked him up on eBay a while back, right after SDCC. It's funny too because when we moved in I totally hated the shelf. By itself its just fugly. But fugly is as fugly does. It warmed right up on me once the toys started populating it. |

Are those vintage pieces by a floor heater? Could they get damaged with a hairdryer on all the time? I like those unpainted biskup birds btw not often you see them in a hall of fame |

Nice! That Matango is the sweetness ... Are the blue Pollard and Bigaro both HPs/customs? I don't remember Biskup releasing any production painted blue Big Pollards (yet) ... |

Abe, don't worry about the vintage pieces, that's a cold air exchange. This house has the funkiest old wall heaters. The Biskup birds felt like they should be by the birdhouse that my 2 year old painted up for us. Khanate - the nougaki tank was the custom I scored back at the Black Parade show. It wasn't my first choice, but damn has it grown on me. The camo pattern is awesome and the tank colors are great. The amber brown just fit right in. Meary - Bwana and Amanda are two artists I really admire. My next goal is to get a Vissell handpainted wooden toy. I'll get one someday. hMatter - I love the Neth creatures. they are so simple and elegant in design. Miami - the Blue Pollard is a Biskup HP. the Bigaro is a Kozik one off. I think there is a matching Mutant Head that someone else on the board picked up. The Evil is from Shapeshifta and is one of my favorite paint jobs. Thanks again everyone for the comments, glad to hear others like it as much as I do. |

This morning, I found my 11 month old had crawled over in front of the bookcase and was just talking away to the creatures with claws. She seems very enamored with them and the Pollards. It was one of the funniest things I have seen in forever. |
