just to be clear (pun intended)
is there a holographic number or anything else on the feets of the clear kun besides the bounty hunter logo thing? i had some talks with others that thought they might be bootlegs but i doubt it.

no..but a few figures I have from around that time didn't come with holographic numbers either and i bought them at Span of Sunset . this figure came from Japan and it could be a bootlegg, but if it is they did a great job..I'm still happy with it.

oh and I am so ashamed of my grades..i'm going to bed without supper

I thought 75-80 was excellent on a vintage figure. I think they grade the old ones on a diffrent scale than the new. A good new one would be a 95, but I dont think we see many vintage past 85.

Nice Fetts!

The only AFA I have is the Royal Guard I bought from Kellerman a few years ago during his big sale. Pretty cool as they were the figs used to create reference pics for his book.

I've been thinking of getting a few of my rarer loose figures (VC Jawa, DT Luke, etc) graded (mainly to help preserve them in top shape) but haven't yet.

not many left anymore..actually I sold you some on fleabay ..a few months back...and maybe some import gijoes too..cant remember.....I have a few left ..I might sell the stuff i have..probably just keep the Boba Fetts..i sold a bunch to brianstoys and meltdown comics a while back..I'll let ya know if I do

Andy - you should get the loose ones graded..the price for loose figures isnt so bad onthe grading and they combine the shipping so you could do a couple just to have them look nice in those cases..getting carded figures graded can be expensive I paid around $150-160 for the 2 fetts including shipping.

Yeah I reckon that's true. Things are a bit tougher since I don't live in the US. Also, don't they have a policy of needing to have figs like the VC Jawa authenticated? Mine came from Derby (with a COA) and my DT Luke is from the Earth (also with a COA) but I'm not sure if that will cut it with AFA. :?:

I had a vc jawa and I lost his cape while going to sell it to someone.. so lame.. I swear it disappeared..I don't know what there policy is on that figure..but they offer the cases for sale that they use without grades..and they are nicer then the regular plastic cases..thats always an option

wtf? I don't understand paying this kind of money to have someone grade toys. what is the ROI?

I will most likely sell these one day to help pay for my tokyo living...and i know graded figures can get a much higher price.....also they look cool and the cases are very nice..my star cases always seemed flimsy

Man that sucks about the lost VC cape!

A service like AFA coming along was inevitable in the Internet age, with so many scammers out there. But I had no idea they were that expensive!

Just for kicks, I just spent a couple of minutes browsing Ebay Star Wars auctions. I was shocked at how "cheap" rare items were going for. Not sure if that's because I've been collecting kaiju too long, if it's because SW interest is down, or if it's because there's soooooo much SW product that even a "rare" piece may exist in the 100s or 1000s. But man you can pick up some carded vintage lots for CHEAP these days - a lot cheaper than 4-5 years ago.

yeah everything is way cheaper now ..pretty cool if your buying stuff ..but a lot of the figures i sold..I could have gotten way more for them a few years back...like a vintage tri logo carded anakin i could have sold for $200 and up...I sold it at aroud $100 bucks ..many more like that,,some stuff will always be high priced though i was on the lookout for a Droids Boba and they are pretty pricey still

mine has the BxH logo on one foot and made in japan on the other. also each foot has a mark on the inside indicating L & R but no matrix #.
