I put all my vinyl in storage begining of this year. Just pulled all my Matango out and displayed 'em at my work studio. Soon they will get a better display.

Vinyl Paradise is one of my all time favorite toy lines, and that top shelf is TOPS. Awesome.

Beautiful!

I love the clear blue Marmit and still dream of owning one of those guys some day. What's up with the painted pink Marmit? I had no idea he was a shorty?

oh...yah I noticed that in the photo too... Im thinking its just how its placed on the shelf :?:
I'll check it out when I get back to the studio.

Though... I am noticing some subtle differences in the Marmits. For example the Brown ones left arm angles in more than the rest.

Ah... Very cool.

It's all I can do to stay away from those bloody trikes. They look so great but I must resist.

Who is the Matango woman or who makes her?

I have a number of the trikes and they are of excellent quality including the packaging.
Nice collection!

The woman is Maimi and she's made by M1-Go. It was part of the laser disk release in Japan. There is also a transforming man, and the Maimi figure comes with a pink Hawaiian mini Matango necklace. The figures can be removed from the bases. The paint on these is really detailed.

It seems to be a production issue, because mine's shorter than his marmit brother as well.

This figure is just nasty (in a good way) is this the one that was referred as Matango woman if not who what were,

Yah what a trip, I hadnt realized it was shorter unti I took those pics. I wonder if it was a vinyl issue as the sculpts look identical.

Theres been a Mami and Transforming man up on YJA for awhile now for an ok price. I certainly would have jumped on it if I didnt already have Mami.

Mr Blue shoes is indeed the Matango Transforming Man. If you rent or watch Matango (or Attack of the Mushroom People- american title) he makes an appearance when the stranded victims take refuge on an abandoned ship. Marmit makes this particular version and it's the limited GID version (50 pieces). There is also a regular painted version which can be seen in this thread here:

I think it's funny how I was searching an searching for it and then suddenly a bunch appeared out of nowhere. Bizarre. Nice Matango collection Polyester! I'm currently waiting for my M1 Green Secret Matango to arrive, then I'll be complete with M1's (except for that elusive Yellow painted Lucky Bag).

I wouldn't say it's super rare. It did take me a while to find but it pops up from time to time.
