I am reporting, this time, from the Central Philippines--Island of Cebu( about 1 1/2 hours by plane)---on assignment to cover the president's regular holding of office in this region.

With me is the SDCC 08 Fancy Hair Hedo!

We arrived this morning in Cebu, on board the first flight at 6:00 am....

The president's first schedule was an inauguration of a newly constructed school campus run by the Jesuits.

A little action when the president arrived...

The cardinal even attended and heard mass this morning...

One lady member of the president's security group was startled when she saw me "shooting" the president

I went with "flower power"--style photo shoot---the school grounds where we were offered not much scenic back ground...bummer. :(

That is all for now...hope you enjoyed it! :D

nice photos! on my last trip to the motherland ( June-July last year), I wasn't able to make it to Cebu. i'll be sure to make it there on my next trip.

there's gotta be more security for the president when there's a fancy hair hedoran in the crowd !

I need to go to Cebu. I hear it is so much better than being in Manila.

Great pics as usual, Jay. I love that SDCC fancy. It was my favorite toy from the show. The subtle pink vinyl is so nice.

Cebu has more to offer than Manila---beach wise! You can go island hopping from here and it is much laidback.

The president's security are probably wondering what the hell am i doing everytime i cover the president....remember last time?

Not just Cebu---check out Bohol, and the whole of Panay islands when you get back.

I love this figure, I had the feeling it was drowned from all the releases last SDCC 08, but definitely a killer release for me.

flower power seem the vibe of this piece and most of bwana's figures---it gives itself to nature i suppose, very naturally cute :)

Its not graffiti or anything, but a funny, different take on defying authority--sort of pathetic, but i enjoy the "rush"

Really nice pics Jay. Good to see some crazies over there too. Haven't really been there since the late 70s.
