Pilot Ace was the company that closed. Beagle was the contracted manufacturing company for Pilot Ace. Beagle is still around and producing for other companies.

Not a vinyl toy, but totally cool & Harryhausen.. This lamp lives a couple miles from home, at Mondo Tees (if you didn't know, Justin there is a Harryhausen super-fan).

Ah, okay. Either way, the net effect is the same, no sofubi Kali for us. :(

Shades of what could have been. If the sculpt was already made, I wonder why the club/arm was never produced for the single horn cyclops?

Both pictures originally upload by the now defunk Kaiju-Taro. Picture taken at the 2008 Wonder Festival. Left one holding the club and right stardard release. Both at the time were display pieces at the show. The club version was never released.

First release version of the Cyclops from Pilot Ace as a show exclusive only.

I agree. Have lots of Harryhausen resin but no vinyl goodness. Should have gotten these when the getting was good.

I was amazed when i found 1 of the 2 horned cyclops in the aftermarket(and for an amazing price). They're a great tribute, I highly recommend them all.

That was GREAT! Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I've never seen The Animal World, with the flying leap T-rex(!), but will make sure that happens soon.
Also new to me - the amazing squirrel! Probably from the Gulliver movie, which I've also yet to check out.

Nice idea for a thread, turtletooth. I've no Harryhausen in my life but DVD burns, so it's very enjoyable to see all these pics.

Bye bye, Ray!

I like to keep my Harryhusen toys next to the dvd's of his movies. The program is from when I heard him talk a few years back. Interesting views about fantasy and film.
(And yes that is one big-ass dragon - over 2' long)
