Sorry I just never understood why people liked them so much. I thought I'd start a discussion.

In most instances i prefer unpainted vinyl but I just don't get the mixed parts appeal.

I like them because they remind me of some bizarre baby toys. Sometimes the mix of colors is just right. It helps if you're a fan of blank vinyl.

LIke these ...

So cool (thanks for the foto Chimply Kaiju/Anthony).

I like unpainted because it shows off some sculpts to their best advantage . . . no paint to distract the eye.

Mixed parts adds a bit of variety and fun :)

That is so weird! You had me do a double take there. Quite fun, you really know how to play with your toys David! :P

I enjoy mixed parts like these because I find a sense of cohesiveness, or uniformity. When it's more than two colors, it's too chaotic to my eyes to keep on a shelf. I personally don't see the appeal in it, but that's most likely my already biased opinion of them. Though I will say seeing large collections of mixed parts is pretty rad with the massive color array, which almost completely contradicts why I don't like them in the first place. That being said, this would be a good spot to see some mixed bunches together in photos.

definitely the right question, in my opinion. thanks for the answers people who've been helpful. Still won't change my opinion though - any toy in mixed vinyl looks disgusting to me

It looks like something Eric So might have done with Medicom, but I'm probably wrong about that (like so many things)

To me mixed parts harken back to old injection molded toys where they used different colors of plastic for each part.
