This was originally a blank gift from Morri of R X H who is one seriously great dude. He told me to paint it, so I was inspired by our hike to the Temples of Kibune Mountain in Kyoto, home of the Tengu ,and a crazy-ass amazing looking out of control fire festival we saw pictures of there. I thought it would be a very nice momento of my great time in Japan as well as all the truly amazing people we had the pleasure to meet! ( I hope your ears are burning Datadub! And damn those droogies of Pop soda! They kick ass and know how to eat, drink, and create great stuff!) These toys represent true culture. ![]() ![]() |

So awesome. I have always been fascinated by tengus, and you pulled off the likeness very well. I never actually noticed how much those shapes around the eyes pops until now. Such a great story to go along with this piece, too. |

Big applause. I love how you took the dual-nature aspect even further than the sculpt conveys in your paint job. Extraordinary work. Clearly one from the heart. |

![]() I'm not kidding. We expected to see Yokai there. It would be an amazing place to camp at night and see the flying foxes, which probably inspired the legend of the Tengu. But you might get gobbled by mountain leeches or the bears with giant cahones. But seriously, the stone, the wood, the shrines, the springs with wonderfully sweet water, and the moss, it's pure Yokai-ville! ![]() So dope. |

locomoto566 wrote: Radical! Dig that shading detail around and on the nose, classic. Shintosan is a GREAT figure. I think someone in Japan is making toy versions of an imagined childhood friend. That's just me being "imaginative". But if I could I would. R X H leaves a lot open and such a unique style. Great person, and a truly amazing toy company! |

Very, very awesome. Especially since it's got a great story behind it. On a side note, I LOVE how yokai has gained in popularity, again. Good stuff. |
