Hello folks. I don't even have these in hand yet. I just got the pictures tonight, but I cannot contain my excitement and have to share. The highly talented Paul Kaiju painted these on a blank set of Ghostland Prototypes from the Super7 Anniversary Party Lucky Bag. While I was there and did buy a Large Lucky Bag. This particular all blank set of proto Ghostland figures was GIVEN to me with a purchase from MWNO33. This is where your toy karma landed me. Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() (the doughboy is part of a growing collection of customized and signed doughboys. I believe the one painted here is an original from the initial run made in 1971 by the Pillsbury folks in Minneapolis. There have been by my count only three other runs of these Pillsbury 7 inch figures. They are 1991, 1995, and the unknown one that says "1971" Minneapolis on the back of the hat, but beneath that says "Made in China". p.s.- I just found out Paul painted the 1995 doughboy I gave him, and kept the vintage '71. this fact doesn't matter at all. this sentence here just wasted your time.) Thanks so much Paul! |

Over-the-top brilliance! I love how PK has been matching disparate figures lately. I can see why you're excited Steve. Look at the ghosts on Working Stiff! Big congrats to you and props to PK. ![]() |

I love the Doughboy. I used to have one of those 1971 originals when I was a kid and I've been shopping for them on ebay recently, but haven't taken the plunge. I hadn't even thought of getting one customized. Awesome idea. Do you have pics of the the others? |

WAND wrote: The blowfish is fuckin amazing! isn't it? the eyes in that first pic stand out so sweetly. I can't wait to have them in my chubby hands and take pics of them from behind. (sounds classy) as for the other doughboys, I have one signed by HuckG and Sket1, wherein Huck insinuates that Sket likes it in the pooper. long story behind that, and you can find it on that Western board. I've done a few dye jobs using RIT myself. I've got a lot of doughboys and I hope to have more customized. If you guys buy them on eBay, don't pay more than $10-11 shipped for one. This is a high price already. You'll often find 3 in a lot for $15 total. But I noticed after I'd bought up a bunch, people started listing them for $10-$20 Buy It Now plus shipping. those guys are ripping you off, I get the feeling they made A LOT of these. |
