Gonna hang up the acrylics a while, and get some spraying going... Can Anyone recommend a decent price airbrush, and offer up any tips for painting on Japanese vinyl, surface prep, etc? Thanks! |

There's a thread here started by pickleloaf with some tips and some other posts by other board members about prep work. As far as an airbrush goes, Iwata is the way to go. Most, if not all, use Iwata or want an Iwata. |

Got a question for you airbrushers. Can you spray metal flake through an Iwata Eclipse? I'm assuming not, but am hoping I'm wrong. I'm looking to spray stuff like this - http://www.rothmetalflake.com/flake/sta ... flake.html - suspended in a clear carrier, but don't want to have to get a HVLP spray gun and expensive compressor. I know there's an attachment for the Eclipse where you can blow this stuff dry onto a wet surface, but I'd really like the option to mix the flake into a clear and spray it wet. |
