I thought acetone took the gloss off? I wouldn't know since I've never tried personally, but that came out real nice. I love when a Chaos has an eye that really 'pops' off of the paint scheme. |

Wow! Like banshee, I'm surprised to see such remaining gloss. Did you wax/polish it after the acetone, to restore the gloss? And, what's the source and size of the eye you used? I know the originals range in eye size (from 7-11 mm?), but this size looks good. Likewise, I've seen a few sources for the eyes listed here, but this one looks perfect. |

i wasn't sure about the gloss either, as this was the first time i have stripped a figure. i just tried to be really quick with the acetone and immediately get the pieces in a soap bath. after a little drying and buffing w/ a towel, it looked pretty good.. still glossy. the eye is from the flesh w/ blue and yellow spray chaosman.. i just gave it the yellow eye and popped the pink into this one. |
