Hmm, just noticed that mr. bigaro can't resist the burning hot and got his toes and finger tips burnt

I would name it "Hot wheel Bigaro" :o

Nice Job Kirkland! Totally reminds me of Nascar. I'm not a fan of the sport but I live in the Midwest. So having no knowledge is kind of unavoidable.

Looks a bit rough, the flames are all tattered like the paint over the masking was really thick and was peeled before the paint dried. I've seen you do some nice stuff Kirkland, but this looks sloppy and rushed. I do like the fingers and toes they look killer.

yes, i tried to keep the coats light, but with four coats of paint, the thickness is un-avoidable. It definitely wasn't rushed by any means, but the build-up is noticable.

what I should have done is plan it out better where the flame colors were laid out first and then I could cover with flame masking. the Blue would have been the final coat (instead of first coat)

instead, I used a negative flame mask which acted like a reservoir for the paint build up on top of the blue base.....

next time.....

it looks better in person when the macro lense is not focused on it.....

btw, the Nascar comparison is nagging me. I agree now that I see it and it's sticking in my head now, but I was going for custom hot rod look...

If you want to fix it rub your finger over it some to press down what little can be pressed down. Then spray some thinner on it. To melt it a bit. Than if you have any clear , lay a few thicker coats over it. You want to make booth surfaces as close to level as possible. And laying a clear over it will help give that third layer to bring them together.

Its gonna take some work but it can be brought together and evened out.
