Great artwork but I don't see how the octopus makes it Kaiju style? That might just be me though.

That is amazing!

Not so sure about the sculpt, but the artistic ability (possibly drug induced  ) is impressive!!!

Slightly off topic, but as good a place as any-
There seems to be a huge difference between eastern & western customs. I never really got into western stuff, so I don't really know about them.
But it seems to me that the western customs are seen as blank oddly shaped canvases for an artist to fill and do whatever the hell you want and the eastern customs are seen as blank characters to be given life within the confines of what is there. (with a few exceptions Motorbot leaps to mind)

Cool paint, but I cant see any kaiju reference in this what so ever ??

A western toy , painted in a western style, with western letters ....

Dotting technique somehow reminds of indigenous Aussie art making. Must have taken some time to finish.

I really like the artwork, but this is a western toy and not Kaiju. You could paint Godzilla on it and it still wouldn't be Kaiju. Just my two cents...

The style and colors remind me a bit of the Cameron Tiede work I see on vinylpulse every so often...cool stuff, but still a bit out of place here...

oh yeah, and applause to HMS for his amazing restraint!! (you're not sick, are you?)

+1

don't see it being "kaiju" at all, but I like the paint job...

Well...the art work is cool. Just don't know if it should be on the figure, or any figure for that matter.

I know that what I show to you is not Kaiju!. (there are some
words which I don't understand, sorry. What means
"kirkland"?) I think that it is necessary to see this custom
like a personal interpretation (with Western eyes) pictorial of the Kaiju
world. I do not claim to say that I control art Kaiju, far from
me this idea, but this universe interests me enormously artistically
and culturally. I have to learn still much from the Kaiju world,
but I think that I would develop the subject in some of my customs
or paintings. This shock of the cultures should surely give birth to interesting things ... or not...

Afflicted if I have ruffled the purists

ummm... okay...

So did the fried calamari I had for lunch make my cafeteria a Kaiju styled lunch?

I like fried calamari, but that doesn't make it kaiju...
