Digging the color choice...the fade looks a little too masked and not gradual enough and the eye needs a brighter pupil to stand out a little more.
I do like your color selection though and like the redchicken would like to see more "out there" color choices but this one is nice and balanced.

Thanks... still working on my technique... I blame the eye color on the camera, and lighting... it is a bit brighter than in the pic...

yeah for some reason in these pics they look masked, but not so much in person... might be the shaprness adjustment I made in iPhoto... hmm

if you're editing your pics in photoshop, stay away from the sharpness. just adjust your brightness and contrast, probably a +15 on both. fiddling with the sharpness is making the pics grainy

also, if you have a macro feature on your camera use it. it makes a big difference

yeah I use the macro, but it still doesn't come out well... my camera sucks... I don't edit in photshop, I just use the simple adjustments in iPhoto

not bad but I think it needs a little more refinement. Try to work on the fades, blends and accents. The color choices are great.

I think he is getting the grainy effect from lack of light in the room when pics were taken (coupled w/ possible bad camera)

you should use 'unsharp mask' .5 pixel radius at %15-20. boom!
