I like how over it Mechagodzilla looks, but in generally the artist's work seems like recycled Amanda Vissell with a Cartoon Network twist. Meh.

If anyone, this style belongs to artists from the 60's like Jim flora. Modern day artists like Shag, Biskup and vissell just make a nod to artists like him.

Anyways, I like it and want one but just wish they came in larger prints. I also enjoyed this one:

Before you pass judgment, do a little research.

From the blog:
Dave draws inspiration for his work from many of the following sources: 1950’s Sci-Fi Movies, Charles Schultz, Jim Flora, Ray Harryhausen, Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Henson, Hanna Barbera, The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock & Character Advertising Icons.

You say it is recycled Amanda Vissell. I say it is recalling America's history in print and media. It is a very distinct style but if you think they style is owned by Vissell...well...dig a little deeper next time. Even if you just scratch the surface by reading the blog.

s'funny, I looked this and thought: "Where is Jet Jaguar? Thats no fun." but I went to the blog and looked through the posts- sure enough Jet Jaguar was the second post he made on that blog back in 2006.

I love this stuff. It reminds me of Dexters Lab...god I miss that show. I think that a lot of the shows on Cartoon Network and Nick aren't worth a damn but I think a handful of them are amazing. Really high quality art. This dudes style is awesome.
