![]() I (finally) got the Mook for Christmas this year, and I'm kinda taken by the old school Kaiju-spray style of the Vintage Marusan/Bullmark vinyls... So I decided to try something in the vein same. I think I might try more in a similar fashion, simpler sprays, basic colors, some of the base vinyl showing here and there. It's definitely got a charm to it. I hope I was successful with it. Phil |

Thanks everyone, I'll have to track down that book- It only took me a year+ for the Mook, maybe I'll get the other for Christmas '10 =) I'll try to get some pics of the back when I can, and the figure is sort of reminiscent of the 1970 Medium Blue Bullmark Rodan. But I wanted some of the vinyl to show through on the stomach. I've got another idea or two for others I'd like to try... Keep your eyes peeled, and if you ever see anything you like, feel free to drop me a pm about it! phil |

here's the front and back of the mightin: ![]() I painted a bit today before the Eagles game (Whoo!), I'm still in a vintage colorscheme mood: I dunno if this has been done before, but what the hell, right? Hawaii Skullbrain! ![]() I also painted a Skullwing, I wanted to use the clear vinyl... think of it a spirit with corporeal head and hands... ![]() ![]() (Sorry this shot is so green, but the legs are blue) What do you think, sirs? Phil ps- if anyone is interested in anything, lmk! |

Thanks everybody. The Hawaii brain was fun, I hope his new owner likes it when he gets it. The Skullwing is an attempt at the "Less is more" school of thought. I'm happy with it. =) |
