I'm working on this Hedorah-esque figure currently referred to as "Reading Hedorah". ![]() What kind of spray should I do for the various colors? I think a spray on the eyes and possibly the sides and maybe a contrasting wipe. Metallic blue on the blue, Metallic silver on the red and yellow, gold on the brown. Any thoughts? ![]() Any colors I should do? There's also a black and a green. |

Ruh roh! Pretty cool sculpt but I don't think you did enough details to show it's a Hedorah IMO. How big is it? |

He's less than 4". I simplified the sculpt quite a bit because I like it a little smoother. He's supposed to look more doughy and less menacing. Here's another view of the Red. It's cast hollow and clear so it really picks up the light.

Yeah it does look a little sermon-y. I think that just goes along with the ridiculousness of the figure. He's actually looking down at the book but you can't tell from these photos. Here's a yellow glitter version. I'm not sure about this color.

the arms look a little awkward... are they glued on? |

They're both pinned and the one holding the book is glued. I think the angle of these photos makes it look weird. The other arm is articulated and that's part of why it looks odd. I forgot to mention that this is resin-cast and the arms are separate from the body so they don't fade exactly the same. |

Tried some gold and metallic pink sprays on the brown. He's lit with a flashlight to show the clear fade. ![]() ![]()

cool figure--I like the book, nice touch. Given the details of the fig dry brushing or a wash with black followed by dry brushing would make the lines pop a little more. The translucent quality is cool. |

Story has been edited. It's my version of a Hedorah-esque creature. Thanks for the notes. I need to do something because the paint is still looking a little flat. |

I'll probably do a glossy topcoat. The black resin tends to shine more than other colors. The brown is probably the dullest. |

uh oh wrote: The story behind the figure is Hedorah is getting older and hearing a lot about global warming and pollution and thinks he should maybe cut back on the smog. He's reading up on nutrition and the green movement. That ruined it for me right there. |

well...I don't have an agenda. I just thought it would be funny to put Hedorah in ridiculous situations. |
