Here's my submission for the ICFSB show. I had a great time working on this guy and learned a lot about painting while doing it. I tried to play up the "sea monster" elements of the Bop Dragon. Thanks to Leecifer for including me in the show and to Josh and S7 for making the Bop purchase so easy.

Very aquatic, the scales really pop.

I can only imagine how much more beautiful this must look in hand... And it totally kills it from the pics already.

VCOLOR. LASH's how-to thread was very helpful.

Totally...first I've seen I thought I'd like to own.

Great job, love that it's so powerful without being extravagant. Sort of a realistic look to it that is just damn cool when done right, which you certainly have. Definitely speaks "sea monster".

I love it... totally no nonsense and shows off the sculpt wonderfully. It has a bit of a Dream Rocket vibe imho. Great job with the rub technique on the scales especially. I usually don't like rubbed paint but the colors you chose makes it really work. The fading you did with the white on the stomach and teeth/claws is nice as well.

Love the fade on the fangs and claws. I never noticed the similarities to Gamera in this sculpt before!

You know, you're right. Its like Gamera combined with a salamander and then made into a Pokeman.

I still like it more than most of the RM stuff, though.

Thanks again for putting in the time to offer up the thoughtful comments, you guys. They really mean a lot to me.

I think the pokemon qualities come from the large eyes, the belly, and his smile. Personally, I think these aspects add a little charm to this monster but I can see how they might push the sculpt a little too far into "cute" territory for some folks.

Nice job midnight cool theme, i wouldve liked to see a bit more of a rougher styled rub on the scales for mine and maybe a bit on his neck fin.
Very nice.

Well executed! Makes me want to try out a Dragon. Dams are the only RM stuff I collect and it may be time to add someone to fight.

Thanks again for the comments, dudes.

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I took this guy to the tide pools for a photo-shoot in the surf. The tide was coming in pretty fast and between keeping my camera dry and keeping the ocean from washing this one out to sea, we got some cool pics and had a great time. Have a look:
