My final entry...Heavy Metal Dempa-gon and his sidekick Ampa-gon!

Very little airbrushing with this one. I wanted to give him the real appearance of being made of all scrap metal and electronic bits. I imagined Dempa-gon would sound like the short circuiting electronic devices that are part of his body.

so...

Continuing with my electronic custom experiments...I've installed a light sensitive theremin type device into his eye. When connected to the amp (Ampa-gon), the electronic sounds can be manipulated by using a flashlight.

Awesome work, dude! Photo-theremins are are super-cool.

If you're into simple analog synth kits, check out the Thingamakit from http://www.bleeplabs.com. It's a fun little kit that, once completed, makes a bunch of great noises and has a 1/4" output so you an hook it up to amps and effects. Last year, I put one into a 10" Mad*L for a group show and it came out looking and sounding pretty cool.

I can't wait to see this one in person. Nice job.

Thanks for the link...pretty cool little analog projects...albeit way too expensive!
