GREAT concept and execution on the windup idea. The arm and head seams really bring it to life and add a great touch. You made a boring toy look amazing, which I think is a huge feat. |

Well done!!! The windup himalyan is extremely well executed. Nice color choice too. |

The paint and the seam gives the Himalan a convincing look of an old tin wind up toy, nice work! |

First reaction on the Himalan was "wtf yet another distressed custom why is everyone bothering to do these!?" then noticed it was an homage to a worn wind up tin toy and its damn impressive. Nice work. |

Motor- did you actually cut each part of the HImilan to give it seams? Looks really good. Phil still want that Plaseebo? |

thanks guys. the himalayan was fun. and the color choice was an homage to this guy ![]() i thought about doing grayscale for that old black and white effect but thought it was too plain. this gives it a bit of pop. for the seems i use a woodburning tool. after several of these types of toys i've found the woodburning tool is best for seems. there was a dough boy a few years ago that i chopped to pieces and then reconstructed to get that look, but it's so much work. the tool is much faster. i use it for the seems on all my metal toys, i just ususally cut off the excess vinyl. i'm always up for a plaseebo toy pike, but the himalayan was a commission. thanks again. i'll just keep this thread for all my kaiju stuff. might help cut down on clogging the board |

That Cap'n started out life as a Berry Stomper Pirate. The day it came in the mail I shipped it off to Motorbot- Literally did the quickchange AT the post office and sent it out for painting. The texture in the paint is amazing in hand. |
