Ha! Badass dude... the shading and colors are perfect. It might not be the most original colorway, but it's damn iconic and, seeing it now, I can't think of any other way to effectively paint this figure. What figure is it by the way? It's pretty slick.

A few more toys ruined by yours truly, just in time for Halloween. They are all fluorescent & / or GID and have a copper-to-green sparkle color shift paint that I am not smart enough to photograph yet. Thanks to midnight26man for doing such a great job on his Cauldron Milton which inadvertently led to the creation of Candy Corn Milton.

looking good, but i've got a question or two
is that gachamecha's head painted on the inside with glow stuff? are these all monotone white/black/silver?

Thanks for the kind words!

uber: Gachamecha's head is painted on the inside with Ivory vcolor, plus the vinyl was starting to yellow up nicely to add a vintage-y vibe. 8)

Well, here's a new glosscoat + slightly better pics. You can finally see the copper/green shift in the sparkle, but ultimately it still looks best in person... :x

I never thought I'd see a custom Marmit Flying-Hedorah, and am grateful for you proving me wrong. Thanks Terrell :) can't wait to see the top side.

Updated for us poor barsterds who can't be at the show.

First & foremost, thanks to Lee & Super7 crew for making it happen, & to everyone for the positive comments. I really tried to step it up this year, as the usual legends continue to raise the bar. And some new(er) talent, too!

so...

Gacha Mecha was based on the skully guy seen here:

Image

Jungle Hedora has gold/green sparkle color-shift paint on the head & along the spine. I wanted to brave painting totally freehand, & this is the result.

Invasion Saucer is painted with spectra-holograph chrome on the top side... hard to photograph (for me) but the effect in person is nice. I can't believe I left that black smudge on the saucer's leg

These were all painted with love in the unusual freezing cold FLASK weather using v-color & super secret local hobby shop paint.

That Hedorah is awesome, came out great. A BEMON painted like this would be great.

The trooper ship came out really well too! Best one I've seen...I have the blue one and really don't care for it. Love the metallic silver and the 'lights' on the bottom!

The result is pretty outstanding :) When it comes to Hedorah, I don't see a whole lot of people custom painting them, which I think is a shame, especially consider how dark/toxic/slugey I wish he would appear, versus the bright/colorful options that already exist out there. Congrats to whoever ends up with this one.
