Under that armor and cape...

Flesh Bigaro with yellow, orange, red and purple dye treatments. Armor dyed with yellow then red and purple highlights. Body dyed orange, then red, then purple.

The monkey head is a soft Chinese (vinyl?) toy dyed purple and fitted over the neck joint just for fun.

Yeah, I've never seen dye used so precisely. Love the striping. Especially the clouds in front of the sun effect.

This is really, really cool! The colors are so vibrant... but how did you mask the dye? Or are those parts sprayed? It's fantastic.

JoeMan- I wasn't sure that part was going to come out. This guy was kind of an experiment. Like most of my attempts at customizing. I was very happy it turned out like it did.

Prometheum- Dye is actually pretty easy to mask. Anything you can do to keep the liquid from contacting the surface you want to mask works. For the rising sun effect, I used strips of electrical tape and then applied the dye super carefully with a circular sponge I cut. The hardest part is that, because the dye works best with heat, I had to keep dipping and applying the dye over and over. It takes forever for the vinyl to dye this way and you have to be very careful of stray drips, splashes, etc.

Awesome, thanks for the tip. I always assumed the dye would 'spread' more, so it would get under a mask. Very cool.
