ok i can be constructive

the first one is a throwaway honestly. i'm not one of those people who ever say don't paint a toy or whatever... do whatever you want - it's yours. but the smogun needs a reboot. with these toys, brush strokes just do not look good. while i'm not really a fan generally of the style, Leecifer does a nice job with what he does with the acrylics and the brush strokes, but i have not seen it work anywhere else. at all. this is a mess in almost every sense of the word. the arms don't really go with the body at all, and it all comes together looking amateurish

the SB fig looks better, but the flat look leaves me flat as well. did you paint the arms/hands? is it a trick of the camera or is there a smooth gradient in color there? if you did that, i encourage you to try this technique elsewhere. the colors here are not bad, but the application is. and the spots on the torso need to go or be done a different way

smogun is a total stoner piece I was going for sloppy, and the barbarian has a spray fade he was krylon/acrylic, there is alot of fade work around the edges and back of the head but have the worlds crappiest camera so no justice done, I would love to pump out some more subtle fades but am working with spray cans at the moment so until I snag a airbrush them's the brakes
