I know. I wasn't trying to be mean. Just kept saying sculpty to myself (while drinking a bit) and it was making me laugh. |

Honestly "sculpty" sounds better then "sculpy". The latter sounds like they are saying prolly instead on probably. I always found that name odd. But thanks for the link, gonna check it out. |

I'm just fine with sculpey myself but I can see why people want to experiment... I've been really curious about wax, but it seems really expensive considering sculpting is a "Hobby Only" personal kind of thing for me right now. |

Has anyone used Instamorph? What's the cure time? I've been using apoxie, a two-part clay with a two-hour cure time. It holds paint well, and it's very sturdy at full cure. |

This type of plastic cures as soon as it drops below 150F or so. It's not something that would work well for sculpting. It's great for adding plastic parts to existing materials. handles for tools, or replacing a broken off plastic part. |

It doesn't have a "cure time". It hardens as it "cools". Not really enough time to sculpt shit. And the wrinkly prune hands aren't nice either. Can't use it as a "core" or filler with sculpey because it turns into a burning hot ooze when heated again. I'm sure you can make some nice jewelry though. |
