Hey, they is kind of a weird thread, and im not even sure if Im allowed to post it here. Over the past several years I've made a lot of toy concepts. I've always had the ambition of getting them made some day, but who knows. Anyway, Super 7 stuff is one of my biggest inspirations, and I spend a lot of time lurking these forums looking at all cool obscure stuff you guys have; so I thought you might enjoy some of my designs. Oxkasier: Gaiking KO inspired by Mexican Mazinger sofubi bootlelgs. Removable Jet Backpack gimmick and cheap metallic stickers of course. ![]() ![]() Jumper Lasso, amazing transforming plastic chunk with an very engrish name. ![]() ![]() Twin Cam - Super deformed 80s hatch, like a CHOROQ ![]() Long Guns - Like a battle ship themed Tankhead (Gunna reuse this body for a Snake Plisken figure maybe) ![]() And here an unfinished one for the heck of it: 70's animation style RX-78 ![]() |

The customs forum is probably a better home for this thread, but up to you and the mods. The Jumper Lasso design is great- I'm a big fan of the chubby SD transforming robots, e.g., Chorobo toys and Omoroid kits. Seems like something that would work well in the new keshi format that is all the rage these days. |

agreed on the Jumper Lasso. Great design, and I think it would work perfectly in tons of super bright colors. Also, really, really love the colors you've chosen for the Ox Kaiser! |

That Ox Kaiser looks killer, fits right along the old jumbos and its very menacing. The Jumper Lasso has a carry and play with me feel. Those would be a perfect toy to start off making and working your way up. |

Have ZERO idea what the super7 inspiration is predicated on the photos. Seems like a new poster just peddling his/her wares. Which is pretty much standard and par for the course these past few years. Granted first photo looks good but I like to know the people behind the products they are selling. |

I get that he is new and he did post this in the wrong forum and he didn't look around first and introduce himself before showing his stuff and those all are perfectly valid reasons to be annoyed especially on SkullBrain. At the same time I have seen his stuff before elsewhere and I am almost positive he doesn't actually have anything to sell at all and that these are simply his designs that he's sharing and not actual tangible products for sale. So on the list of mistakes he did make so far, coming here simply to push his wares was not one of them. |

Thanks for moving this, I didn't notice this board since it was a sub forum. Also if it wasn't apparent, these are all 3D renders. They don't exist physically and probably never will, so I'm not peddling anything. Like I said in my first post, Ive been lurking on here for almost two years, I just felt like posting my designs since I pull so much inspiration from the collections of vintage bootlegs and other obscure 70s and 80s toys that get posted here. Sorry If I offended anyone by not posting some sort of introduction post, but honestly how many of you would actually have even read it? |

Cool designs, and great renders! What software are you rendering with? |

Thanks, I used Mental Ray inside 3DS max 2014 to render. It has a lot of built in plastic materials that work great for concepting toys. |
