I'm sorry to be a hater but I think putting clothes on animals is not acceptable. |

Sometimes I think my (or our, my girlfriend and I's) pug has more clothes than I do. |

they might have a sweater attached, but sometimes they still get cold! she plays in the snow for hours... i did cover her feet once with the booties for the snow and salt because it can make their paws raw, but she lost one of them in her snow romping.. i should get her new ones this year.... |

I tried putting booties on my pug once, took me like 5 minutes just to get 1 on, he was not having it all, now I just shovel out a spot in the back yard for him to go when it snows. |

I'm not for dogs in clothes either. or any animals in clothes for that matter. it's just weird and probably humiliating for the animal. animals are supposed to be balls/cooch-out and freeeeee! ..some protective wear against the elements I can understand, but for our amusement is just wack IMHO. but I should add that the costumes are amusing. effed up, but amusing nonetheless. |

We're thinking about getting a new dog so my other dog can have a playmate. Pugs are on my mind at the moment. |

Hey, THANKS to everyone for posting these pics - they always make me smile. I did try to put a "Men in Black" costume on them a few years ago, and they weren't having any of it - so I never tried that again. I guess some of them don't mind it - and others make sure you know its a no go! Can't believe how many pug owners there are on this board - must be something in teh Kaiju lovers that also atttracts them to big eyed pugsters. For anyone thinking about a pug, check out the pug rescues. LA has LAPR.org - teh LA Pug Rescue. I got Skruffy and Milhouse from there about 4 years ago - and they are so RAD, crazy and happy to be rescued - makes it all worth it! |

Rules of comedy: 1-Animals w/human characteristics (wearing clothes, talking, doing human stuff) = FUNNY 2- Old people acting young and "hip" = FUNNY 3. Baby's acting w/adult characteristics = FUNNY So according to rule 1, this thread rocks. |
