The Sawx got fleeced in the deal. They gave up the best hitter in the league and 2 prospects, while all the Dodgers gave up were 2 prospects? Plus, they convinced the Sawx to pay most of Manny's salary this year? FLEECED! |

I think most Giant fans are fine with the way things are going with the team... we wanted to stop getting old, overpaid geezers, and have the team go with younger players. The Giant's farm system really sucks, so we know we're not going to contend for a few years. Milwaukee did the same thing, and they're one of the hottest teams out there right now... hopefully we'll be able to build the offense up with young players to support the pitchers. |

He must have been a HUGE pain the ass for them to do this. Sort of like the Shawn Marion/shaq trade. Suns could have done more with Marion in the finals but he was poison in the locker room. |

I think Manny will pretty much be like Barry Bonds was for the Giants... an excellent player, but a source of conflict in the clubhouse. Mix in Jeff Kent, and I'd wouldn't be surprised if there some physical confrontations in the Dodger dugout. |

yeah.. i'm not happy with the way the giants are right now, but at least they do not have any grossly overpaid players and they have a pitching staff with a bright future. when you start out with bengie molina as cleanup from the start of the year - that's not too promising. i'll still say i liked barry... steroids what? jeff kent can suck it |

actually, my entire office is happy he's leaving. as am i. too much money leads to a huge ego. you're right though moco, good player but too much conflict in the clubhouse. oh and the giants scored a few runs at the game i went to last week. good times, you guys have a great ballpark. |

AT&T Park is a BEAUTIFUL park. It's new, but it doesn't have the walls the other new stadia have, so it feels like you're outside. Great food, too. Plus, it's the only chance I get to see my Brewers... |
