Judas Priest tonight for free outside the Jimmy Kimmel show. they're playing the outdoor stage behind the el capitan theater.

i was about 15 people from getting in when the fire marshall said no more. so i watched it up on top of the parking garage next door. good view of the stage, sounds good too. they played some new song off their new record and it was just bad. and then after the commercial break they played breaking the law as the credits rolled. after that they played hell bent for leather, some other crappy new song and then they ended with you got another thing comin. all in all it was cool for a free gig that i walked to.

Have heard so many mixed feelings about the new album. One local metalmag described it as their best (prog influenced concept) record ever, that comment made me sceptical.
