Post subject:  Alan Aldridge at the Mr Musichead Gallery

This seems a bit obscure, but actually not. I wandered into the horribly named Mr Musichead Gallery (not even noticing teh name) on Sunday and was blown away by teh story book paintings of one Alan Aldridge. Seriously KILLER, blowing away many contemporary like minded artists.

On closer inspection it appears that his resume is amazing - as well as the fairytale preciseness of his book illos teh guy was Penguin Books art director at 23 in their 60's heyday, created many graphics for the Apple, the Beatles, Captain Fantastic sleeve by Elton John and even the Chelsea Girls poster for Warhol. Cripes!
