Just received news that I might be assigned to cover a story (can't reveal what story), in a location within the downtown LA area. Probably near Federal buildings.

We might arrive by Friday or Saturday in LA, and after maybe 5 days, fly back to Manila.

Thought of consulting LASK first regarding a decently priced hotel near the area. Or any toy/art related activities from May 29 to June 3 or 4.

And also, would love to meet any LASK who's down for a burger (Astro?) or something.

Thanks!

JAY

lets try and figure a day out to all go grab a bite to eat...and I think there may be some sort of art event during those dates

does the hotel need to be as great as your house pics?

LOL.

I have a hotel in mind, we stayed there once 2 years ago---its along Grand Avenue, near Figueroa.

Looking forward to a meet up guys---first time in LASK country during my Skullbrain years.

And Carl, I would be very disappointed if I miss that famous "House of Muton" during this abbreviated stay.

I just got confirmation that we leave Manila Friday or Saturday night, meaning, I will be in LA on Saturday for sure.

I think Sunday would be an ideal target date to meet some LASK...afternoon if its ok with you guys?

Same goes for me. Sunday is much easier for me, but I can make it on Sat. after 6pm.

So far, an update of my LASK country visit....

My good pal Eric took me out for a quick Japanese feast to a place called "Shogun".....

Had beef teppanyaki and scallops...so good!

Kirin and hot Sake in the house.

Posing with the "Shogun", guarding the path to the bathroom.

More pics of my LA visit soon!
