5 and A Dime are teh local purveyor of neo-kaiju goodness. U need to hit up Baronacasino, DeJesus and WTFunks for the full story.

Clothes: 5 And A Dime, UnSteady, Blends

Too bad Commissary SD is gone.

Please don't mind the shameless plug, Please check out Tattoo Royale if you are into tattoo's and art. We are in the North Pacific Beach area of S.D. Our shop is set up like a gallery with plenty of original art on the walls, and some toys lurking about. Plus I would really like to do some toy related ink! Any Skullbrainers, stop on by and say hi.

For shopping, 5&10, Unsteady, Blends, Armory..they're all in the same area. Commissary was definitely one of the best stores, but closed at the start of the year.
I've wanted to visit Igloo but still have yet to.

Check out Phil's BBQ for lunch or dinner, or if you want some good, cheap sushi, Sushi Deli has 3 locations around SD. The Gaslamp location is usually busy, and they have weird hours. Bronx Pizza is pretty good too. If you want the best carne asada fries, Lolitas is the place to go. For dessert, Extraordinary Desserts.

There's free things like the beach and Mt. Soledad. I'm sure theres more, I just cant think of anything else right now.

Go to Wurstkuche in downtown LA instead of Pinks - I first heard of this place when Chris Kohler drove all the way from San Diego to visit the LA home of gourmet dogs. Never been to Pinks, and from what I hear I am not missing anything.

If u do visit Pinks, give me a shout - I dont live too far from there.

indeed Wurstkuche is way better than Pinks, I went there on my last LA visit

A rattlesnake & rabbit Sausages and a couple of Optimators made me a great lunch

Pink's is not worth the wait. So many good places to eat around there so why stand in line for an average hot dog?
