Post subject:  Built To Spill - Stand Still but Kill It in LA on 06-29-06

I got a load of great photos from Thursday's Built To Spill gig - but is anyone interested in seeing 'em here?

LMK braintroopz.

PS. Excellent show. One hour 55 minutes veritably zoomed by...and I dig 2 minute freneto-songs as much as the rest of you - but these guys make standing still fine by me, because they encourage their guitars to make wonderful melodic noises (and time changes people) that fill up 7 minutes a song with ZERO boredom factor.

I didn't even mind the fact that they do not give a RATS ASS about how they present themselves. Platform boots and pan-stick rock my world, don't get me wrong...but shorts, scratchy beards, bald spots and bellies are fine by me when BTS are provding music this great.

LA peeps - still maybe a chance to get tix for their 5th (yes, 4 sold out shows, +1 added) at the Troubadour on Wednesday the 5th....

PPS. Doug Martsch is GOD....when it comes to Indie guitar heroes, plus he rocked a No W sticker. Oh yes oh Yea.
