What I should be thinking about is work, but in relation to SkullBrain? Well, what I'm thinking is all good, and outstanding examples of what's so great about this board and our community. Here's what happened to me over the last week or so: 1. When I was in London JohnnyHotrod sent me a PM mentioning that the mythical Phantom 8 man SWAT suit was on Mandarake. By the time I saw it, I was way too late. So, I thought maybe someone here got it and posted a begging email. The SWAT suit is the last suit I need to complete the 8 man series, and with the exception of Guy Redwing, non one I know even has one. Anyway, I get a response on my post to PM John. Well, f**k me, but being the memory man he is, he remembered I needed it and had only gone and bought it for me in case I missed it! Totally F'ing RAD or what????? JohnnyHotrod - great guy of this, or any other, month! Thank you Johnny! 2. This weekend I go to the Post Office, and I get some packets delivered. And three of them really stand out: LamourSupreme, aka Joel sends me the incredible Ubiq brain painting he did for me as a gift after reading my lost Ubiq sob story. Well, let me tell u, the painting is incredible, INCREDIBLE...and I shouldn't tell Joel this, but although Dukuro King is one of my all time favorite toys - his rendition of Fight series figures puts the smack down on the great painting he did for me of Waldar, and words fail me - again the level of talent on this board makes me feel like the underachieving shopaholic I am. Thank you Joel! Next up, a certain board member named Mark, takes the time to get me some stuff from the heartland of vinyl central, Hiddy's own 3rd floor paradise SecretBase, pack it up and send it to me. My package is imbued with magic. Thank you Mark! The third package I open comes from closer, but is an SB figure that was traded to me by someone who knows how much I really wanted said figure (and its an impossible find by the way), and trades it to me in an infinitely fair trade in a move that makes me extremely happy. He needn't have done the trade, but he did. Thank you Jake! 3. Then on Sunday morning I vow not to get on Skullbrain as I have s##t to do. But, like any addict, I check my emails, and lo and behold one PaulKaiju has sent me a tantalizing email about a custom that we talked about for many a moon. Later that day he sends me a picture, and it is mind blowing! Wait until you guys see it! You will piss your pants, or at the very least - like it a lot. Thank you Paul! I've put fingers to keyboard about other stuff lately, but so many people rule here, so much talent and good vibes, I had to write about that. And these are just a few examples among many. THANK YOU ALL! |

Carl hooked me up with a one of my two most wanted skullbrains the Warp, for less than he was offered by others because he knew how much I wanted one. Glenn hooked me up with a piece today that I've always admired, but way too late in the game. He' also hooked me up with the pink Headshop 'brain, the other most wanted, as well a couple other pieces. I've been hooked up here by many a member and done my best to do the same for others here. |
