After the huge LASK gathering two thirds of us headed down to the nearby Usugrow show at BP. You may remember Usugrow from teh fourth 13th Bee set.

We got there a bit early and checked out the art - its a small, compact show - and then things got weird when some local bad guys stole a load of DC jackets. Obvioiusly clueless to steal DC gear when there was some really cool stuff in there. anyway, the store guys were pretty upset, especially someone who had a gun pulled on them after they chased the perps around teh back of the store.

While all this was going on i decided to ask one guy about shirts, but he wasn't getting me, so we took another look at the art...and he came over, and turned out to be Usugrow. after apologizing for mistaking him for a store clerk, we had a good chat about SB and henshin cyborg, he even knew about the uK versions. Super nice guy.

Here's some pics from the show. They don't do justice at all to the fine black and white illustrative style - but gives you an idea.

Amazing art, love the black and white line work.Did the shading look airbrushed or was it done by hand like Pushead(stipple)?

Very nice! I'm glad to hear that he'll have an upcoming show with work for sale. I really want a pen & ink original! I might suggest to a couple local galleries that they try to get him to have a show up here. Absolutely love his work!
