Hold up, is that a new Alien ReAction sculpt or is it a larger vinyl figure??? The arms look different & thicker.

^ looks to be more in the style of a classic Japanese mini - could be larger, but I'd guess that it's in the 3-5" range.

Huh. Y'know, I have no idea of what the scale is here.

I'm hoping it's larger than smaller, but either way it's a must get!

^ Ahhhhh...

Super7 x Secret Base: Alien Vinyl Figure: Following up on the amazingly popular Alien ReAction figure, Super7 took another cue from the vintage figures of the 1970′s, this time in Japan, and partnered with Secret Base to make the 4.5″ tall vinyl Alien figure. Styled in the tradition of classic Popy figures from the 1970s, this Alien features articulation at the waist, arms and neck, as well as a clear dome over the head packaged in a retro box referencing the original Kenner 18″ Alien package. $45ea

I'm really liking it too, but I do wish that it had some token sprays on it.

Looking forward to seeing the box art.

My only worry about the alien fig is the dome, and the cut on the vinyl. On the pic with the box art, the clear dome looks like it was cut kinda rough on the edges. I hope they're cut smooth and the dome fits tight.

the photo with the box is a first prototype without cleanup (that was not really supposed to be shared publicly). The edition will be finished to the level of quality you would expect from Super7 and Secret Base.

Will the fig be painted? He asked, hopefully.

This version is unpainted black with unpainted clear vinyl dome. Same as the proto photo, just finished ;)

Fuck you opportunistic flippers. I wish karma would really catch up on some of these people. And FU to ebay for providing the venue for this behaviour, and supporting it. :x And, BONUS FU to people who keep supporting these asshats to make this type of 'business' behaviour possible and enabling the cycle to keep screwing over regular fans.

In response to the unexpected outpouring of enthusiasm and support for the Alien Egg Chamber Playset, we are thrilled to offer this limited pre-order for the black box edition of the playset for fans of Alien and ReAction Figures everywhere. This version features the black packaging and a charcoal base with printed cardboard inserts with custom artwork. As this was originally a labor of love project for us here at Super7, we had no idea it would touch the hearts of as many fans as it has. Thank you so much for your support of Super7 and this crazy playset of ours, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do, and that we can continue to make special and unique items like this in the future for you. The Alien Egg Chamber Playset will be available for pre-order during all days of on site at SDCC and online at our website http://www.super7store.com. The pre-order will coincide with the show, and will only be available for pre-order from Wednesday July 21st at 6pm through Sunday July 27th at 5pm. All playsets will be limited to the number of orders received and made to order. Playset bases will be made from hand cast resin unless enough orders are received to manufacture the bases in injection molded plastic. Delivery date for resin bases will be 3-4 months, and injection bases will be 6-7 months (hopefully faster) $100 each + $15 shipping (this is a really big box and base), available for pre-order from Wednesday July 21st at 6pm through Sunday July 27th at 5pm, quantities will be made to order.

While I still genuinely don't understand the attraction of this set, this is a GREAT move by the people at s7. Shows them flipper etc. Kudos all around, wish it happened more often.

^ And I genuinely don't understand how you could not understand the appeal of such a utile tribute, but I wholeheartedly agree with you that an open-ended pre-order is the smartest, coolest thing that S7 could be doing with it.
