yes, i got the red mav. :)
The main painting was so beautiful. wish i had a better camera to capture the subtlety of it. i did include several different shots of it. it was hard to get the metallic inks to display all at once.

playdoh...were you the guy in the red hoodie and beard?

Author:  playdohpunk [ Tue Oct 30, 2007 11:52 pm ]
Post subject:

yes, that would have been me, playing with my psp before the show started. ;)

tho, wait a minute, on second thought. i think i had taken my hoodie off and put it in my bag, and i dont have a beard, more like a line of a goatee on my chin. seems there was someone else with a red hoodie, thats why i'm having second thoughts over your identification.

i was snapping photos, if thats any further clue

Locomoco = MIA for the past couple weekends. We miss your banter!! After we got our 5th Halloween fig, a few of us went to On the Bridge to eat.

playdoh, I asked a couple of people "who's that guy in the brown?" but no one really knew. Maybe I shoulda asked Brian instead of other board members...lol.

Awwww... I've been experiencing some vinyl toy grief from my wife the past few weeks, so I've been unable to show up the past few weekends... sigh. I need some curry-katsu-don...

The toys are nice, but the artwork is definitely the star of the show - especially impressive when you see how large (or small, actually) they are.

I like the fantasy motifs in some of the custom figures.

I like the toys much better now and some of the art is stellar.

Back in 2005, some of the first Cronic figures came with little cards (about the size of a sports card) that featured prints of some of those art pieces.

Naoki has also done some really great hand drawn line work on boxes for some Zyurai Asu and Maverasu releases. I'll photograph some of mine and share pics when I have a chance!
