So it's a day after the "Fuck/Love" gag, and wanted to chime in with some thoughts. I think the whole prank was all in good fun... certainly no malice intended at all. People have to realize that Josh, Hiro, Alex, Joe, Karen and Pogue have probably had to deal with a lot frustration and complaints from people with all the extremely limited RxH releases lately, and they're looking for ways to lighten things up... the whole Easter Egg hunt in the store is a perfect example of this. Who in their right minds would think of doing something like this? But everyone who was there had a blast! Melek Taus drove from Fresno to SF and waited all night for the toys to go on sale, and was probably surprised that it wasn't "first come, first served." If anyone had reason to be upset, it would've been him, but I think he and his girlfriend had a fun time with everyone else ransacking the store looking for the little vinyl bastards. Josh, Hiro, Alex, Joe, Karen (and even Pogue ) are all really nice people who provide us with excellent service. I don't think anyone can dispute how hard they work. They do their best to try and provide as level a playing field to get too few toys to too many collectors as is humanly possible. I don't think we realize how good we have it to have these guys doing all they can for us. I mean this sincerely, and this is by no means an attempt to suck up to "the toy gods". I found it totally offensive that someone would take such an innocuous little prank and try to turn it into something so sinister. Accusations of invasion of privacy and censorship are pretty ugly claims to make against the guys who do so much for us. Anyway, I just felt the need to post something to show some appreciation for the S7 crew. In a hobby that easily devolves into "what about me?" all too often, I think we need to thank the S7 crew for providing us with this board, and excellent service. So thanks guys!!! |

Thanks for dealing with all of my stupid e-mails. This is mostly directed towards Josh. But I appreciate the excellent customer service and ingenuity from everyone there in putting together the various events and releases. You make the chase as fun as the capture. Or something like that. |

I thank Josh for helping me out to get some nice vinyl in the past. It must be a daunting job for you to answer the same requests from 100 different people. At times I have hesitated to email you knowing this. Regarding the F>P situation, it's a shame that even with a prank like this on the internet inflicts damage more than anything else. I didn't see anything wrong with it but does it matter since I was not the victim? The worst thing however is whether that prank was worth losing a customer for? I don't think it has anything to do with what Loco says given this is just a business at the end of the day no matter how you look at it. If the sig was put back and an apology with it, then I think none of the aftermath slurp slurp a.k.a. this thread would be needed. |

There was no victim! The word was automatically changed across the board and it happened to be in his sig. If someone had du nny in their sig it would show up like [expletive deleted]. It wasn't worth crying 10,000 tears about. It wasn't that scary. Things will be okay. |

Props and thanks as always to the S7 staff. It ticked me off to hear that S7 has been enduring hostile e-mails because of the RxH shortages. The staff do all they can to get as many of the toys that people want as they can. Without them most of us wouldn't have our best RxH pieces, at least not without paying too much to flippers. I can totally understand the frustrations, and sometimes share them, but the shortage situation isn't S7's fault. As for yesterday's nonsense ... |
