i've never been a fan of the bagman and this really doesn't do anything to change my mind. but it looks like it fits nicely with the brain.

Awesome, I'm glad they look so different. it would be kind of boring if it was 6 blue and yellow figures. I like the bag.

Ya never know. The plush might be blue. I'd assumed that like most sets, the figures will indeed match.

Don't get me wrong, even if they use the same plush I am in love with the Voodoo series. But if they did something like different color plushes like the Ranger series, I think they would look really good.

Like make the Bagman's plush Red. I guess we'll find out in the next couple of days. :D

It looks pretty cool but I wish it had the Balzac head. That would have made it 10x better (especially since I don't have a Balzac Bagman figure).

i really like the concept and thinking behind the plush but i think these are more visually interesting to me without the plush.

I've always hated the bagman's, but this is pretty sweet. The voodoo series is really starting to impress me. Lookin' forward to the next figures in the series.

I agree. Especially with this one; the yellow, black and clear is a great combo. Not being into the bagmen either, I might just have to pillage a brain from another figure to crown this one.

blue would not go good in this one. i'm picturing maybe a black and white swirl effect, similar to the plush in the F.C. ghostfighter or the inner demons figs...

maybe some tribal, unless my stereotypical mindset is just labeling tribal stuff with voodoo...

I don't normally like these bagmen, I like the balzac ones, but not the skullbrain ones, but the way they did the fade on the top is pretty cool.
And I am going to reserve judgement on the plush until he is in hand, esp as I wasn't terribly impressed with the Voodoo Brain until he was in hand and then he took on a whole different feel.
I am wondering if they are throwing all the colourway rules out the window with these, as I was definitely expecting them to match much much more, so who knows what colour the plush will be...
I'm still looking forward to it.

i'm guessing maybe the theme won't really revolve around colors as much as a voodoo feel. the plush on the skullbrain is what held the voodoo feel in my eyes. And on this piece, the creepy yellow eyes alone make it stand out as voodooish...

my thoughts exactly.
which is cool, cuz the whole GNO set got a bit boring.

Author:  damaged Bryan [ Wed May 14, 2008 9:45 am ]
Post subject:  Re: Secret Base Voodoo #2

I think it will kind of be like the GNO in that they aren't going to nail it every time. But at the same time, the plush alone is killer. Plus I might just be alone in the fact that I like both the Balzac and the brain Bagman.
