Something that probably a lot of people don't know about the Amber DX is that it has GID guts.

Yeah it's an older one, but this wasn't the one that came with the eel and mini H monster. This came alone.

It's not strong, because the vinyl is so dark. It's a subtle glow. If you take a black light to it it will glow pretty good.

there's a great review of that book here.

These were before my time, so I don't remember them, but they are great. Definitely a huge Garbage Pail Kids influence.

Without Wacky Packages there probably never would have been Garbage Pail Kids. They were brilliant. I was a young schoolboy when they came out, but I remember that they were the source of a lot of laughter. Even our parents laughed at them. The back cover of that book is hilarious. That's exactly what would happen to the invariably stale stick of cornstarch-covered bubblegum in your mouth. It'd break up all hard and angular like that. Funny how such a trivial memory can be so vivid.

yes! i meant that the other way around of course, wacky packages influencing gpk. I could see how parents could also enjoy these, as for garbage pail kids, well, I know my mom hated them.
