Nice figure, but the lack of the gun as one of the blind bag possibilities- not so nice.

Without the gun, it's like all the other older Barbarians which isn't a bad thing necessarily.

Yeah but since we know there's a ver with a gun, getting the "no gun" version leaves you kinda feeling cheated,,sorta.

The only reason I can think of going the blind bag route is to get folks to buy multiples to get that chase with the nifty raygun. Kinda leaves you with a bad KR taste in your mouth. Sorry for sounding all negative

Wonder if the folks at S7 will let you squeeze the bag before buying?

I can already imagine Glenn in a Mr. Whipple outfit going " Please don't squeeze the Barbarian G's"

I'd personally take any version. I think this is the best barbarian to date imo, ray gun or not. Plus this isn't the first blind bag release SB has had all this year.

That's a great idea- I think He-man had weapon packs, too.

I'm waiting on one. Barbarian might be my favorite SB sculpt. Glad to see this guy with or without gun.

I think you would complain about the cost. Weapons are expensive! If real weapons had the same ROI toy ones do we would live in world without war.

My only issue is that I don't see the Astro-Mu 5 connection.
Maybe if the body and arms were clear with pipe cleaners like the Devil.
But I still like it.

This one's based on the capsule robo-g, so the arms were opaque rather than transparent. I wonder if the chase gun is a nod to the impossible-to-find missile arm attachment?

Duh. Now I see it.
Thanks Mondo!

The later version has the 2-tone arms and is probably more representative . . .

gun/no gun is the lamest blind bag option ever. I love the space barbarian, but if he could come with a gun i would want the gun for sure!

Never cared too much for weapons but i gotta agree this 'blind' option is taking toy 'business' to bizarre (new ?) levels. Are folks gonna resin-cast some bootleg weaponry ?

SB doing this is not new. Loudspeaker with a bagman?

I don't really see what the big deal is; you buy the toy, and if your lucky you may get a little accessory to go along with it. I think this is a solid sculpt and it's been given a fantastic coat (tribute, no less). If anything, it gives a sense of added excitement when opening it from the bag, but it certainly shouldn't be the selling point. It stands on it's own.

Got the gun version and well, even if I could have live without it, I happy about it...it just add a little extra retro sci-fi touch to the sculpt.

About the connection, what is the connection to Astro-mu on the UNKL brain ?

I do not like the Barbarian but this one makes me almost get it...I think the gun helps with the homage vibe.
