| Post subject: | Gargamel Window Vinyl |
I received my ERIAGUN from Bwana last week (love it) and was looking at the translucence through a light when I decided to put it on my window sill......... It looked so great with the sun shining through that I put another half dozen translucent Gargamel figures next to it. The colors look absolutely fantastic in the sun. Has anyone kept their vinyl in the sun for a long time? Does it ruin the color? |

DO NOT put your vinyl in direct sunlight it damages it. |

The sun is your enemy and it will bake the life out of your vinyl toys---put them up there briefly, take some pictures, and then put them back in the shade. Like most things left in the sun for extended periods of time, the sunlight is damaging to toys. The color will fade and the vinyl breakdown will be greatly enhanced...a sad, sad death for your pretty toys. |

No doubt, I used to have some of my stuff across from a window, but I always kept the shades drawn, but when I was gone my wife would open them. Luckily I caught on before the damage was done, and moved everything outa the way, but from my days of Stormtroopers turning yellow as a kid, I learned no toys in the sun. |

Like women and seamen, toys and sunlight do not mix. Seriously, I would not put anything of value in direct sunlight. If not discoloration, it will definitely degrade plastic or vinyl over time. |
