Hi PK, so did you just take the BP apart and soak the parts in the dye ? And for how long ? I think it's way cool ! Even as a base color, are you thinking of adding paint also ? |

Yeah, I took it all apart first. You can manipulate the color by the time of immersion in the dye, but it doesn't take long to get a strong tint. (This one was only dunked for 2 or 3 minutes on average). Next time I'll wear gloves to keep my fingers tips from being dyed as well... I am considering painting over parts of this one, but on the other hand it is nice the way it is...sort of like a rosy counterpart to the purplish invader version. Definitely if I dye my second one, I will have to do something more crazy with it in terms of paint. Now I need some more clear vinyl. I've got some more toys to experiment with, but still want others too. I think Blobpus looks especially good like this, so if anybody wants to sell me some clear ones, please holler. Now somebody just needs to tiedye one of these suckers! LOL |
