I'd love to see

1. a taxi-yellow w/ greyish blue paint and white and brown detail SMOGUN new york-style.

2. Soft-red with a misty, golden-yellow detail Full-size Drag

3. Deathra--Bottle-green clear vinyl w/ just a silver eye, silver paws and feet and very light coat of dark-green on the belly and down the back.

I might see about getting that Smogun done...

More suspended silver stuff. Maybe also other colors of this technique (suspended gold etc.).

More "guts" and expand on the idea by having exposed skeletons or exposed brain/head.

More "poured GID paint" stuff.

Um, to steal havingmysay's line, we still need more fight figures. Also bring back the idea of extra heads.

Yeah, I'm with Z. I'm a fan of the suspended silvers so explore that with other material. Guts and innards are a fave too.

But what is "poured GID paint"? Probably recognize it if I saw it, just never heard the term before.

Oh, and take release some figures with that GID X-ray look of the first Galtan.

It's a clear, or color/clear vinyl with GID paint on the inside. It's how the Thrashout Hedorans are done, clear green and orange vinyl with GID paint on the inside. Gives a cool effect. I assume that's what he means.

Yeah that's what I mean...like the pink (or the orange/brown) full size flying hedoran or the walking green thrashout one.

I think the ZODIAC Skullman is similar. From what I understand it's clear vinyl with red poured in.

Indeed. Not GID, but same idea.

I would like to see brighter multiple colors for fight figures. Like transferring Hedorah/Zags/ color schemes into fight figs would be quite cool... would be cool to use clears with these colors. my fight fig shelves are looking too bland compared to Real Head.

It's actually clear vinyl with another layer of glow vinyl underneath. Unfortunately, there is no high quality glow paint for soft vinyl.

Thanks for all the ideas. You just might see somehing similar to these at SDCC...

This sounds like the 'double-molding' technique mentioned for Dream Rocket's GID Doguma. Being unfamiliar with the process of pulling vinyl figures, I've always wondered how this is done, since I would assume both the inner and outer layers would have to conform to some mold.

Anyway, that's cool to know. Maybe I need to procure one of the Hedorans for my own examination...

I dig the taxi colors for the smog. I am really into the clear with the bright colors. I want to see more metallic flake and pearls. A few figs done in some House of Kolor flops would be cool!

Cool, thanks for the info Koji. I know I heard something about poured glow paint for some release. Maybe the SB 13th bees?

I want a rainbow of clear smogguns, something like Koji's blue one would be nice. That and a chewbacca hedoran.

I like this idea. I think a pale mint-green vinyl with white and red highlights would be really neat for smogun--or maybe a metallic silver w/ red. maybe if they threw in a fine brown-speckle in the vinyl. mmmmmm....

scratch the red--a peach or orange highlight.

I'm gonna get some ice cream.
