I needs to learn me some Japanese. Can anyone shed some light on this guy, Beetlar? 
Awful Babelfish translation of Buster Call text seems to say that the figure may or may not be ready for sale at WF on 8/12, but if not, the proto will be on display at the Blobpus table. This doesn't look like a Blobpus sculpt to me but obviously I could be wrong. Is it a collaboration? Someone else's toy that Blobpus is helping to market? Yeah! I saw that too on the Blobpus blog. I think they're promoting a friend's item at their WF booth, but it doesn't sound like the item will be available then. Either way, I really want one of these when it comes out. It looks like a bulked-up Antlar with a stag beetle head! |

It does. This is probably common knowledge here, but in case anyone doesn't know, beetle fights are a big deal in Japan these days. Doesn't look quite like a fight figure as I think of them, but maybe he is. I'm liking the sculpt more and more. Lots of details. |

It's pretty small- only 10 cm tall. It's closer to the size of the Garg minis, I guess. |

Dang -- That guy is that small? He seems to be pretty damn detailed. If he were more fight figure-ish, I would totally be sold, but right now I am definitely interested. I guess what it all comes down to is the paint app. |

The blue clear in profile looks really interesting. Wish it was 18 centimeters or so instead of 10. |

It's a great looking little figure, like the old minis, 2 pieces and no articulation really, just the head can turn. I think he said these will retail at a good price too! |
