Are the RxH sculpts evenly made and distributed?

I have noticed since I started collecting RxH figures (this year) that there are a lot of Chaos sculpts made but less Bigaro and Mutant, and even less Akro or Orghan Bat figures being sold or available.

Is this common or just a cyclical figure abbundence that I am noticing?

Its really up to Mori. I guess when ever he feels like dropping a sculpt thats when we see it. I dont think its even just random.

I do know that I'd love to see more of the Organ Bat sculpt....maybe even a GID??

Could go for another Akro too....something bright greenie like the upcoming Chaos that drops at Rotofugi next week.....

Data, any plans for more of the Mutant Zone 2 dudes? I thought I'd seen it mentioned that a new Akro was coming....possibly unpainted flesh?

dude, there is a whole shit ton of mutants and evils that aren't seen very much cause they are OLD as sin.

I think mori went thru making a ton of mutants, then the evils and bigaro, and now is chaos time to shine. not saying there are not a lot of older chaos, but I feel like a ton of heads came out around the same time last year, and now its time to pump up chaos.

It does feel like the pace is picking up ... Three different fully-painted Chaos releasing in a span of a week or so is unusual, and the pace all year has been busy.

Data, do you know whether Mori has considered selling annual subscriptions for his work, like Frank and a few others do? Given his smallish but rabidly devoted body of fans, it seems a good fit. It sure would be dreamy if some such thing opened up for enrollment pre-Mook, even informally, before the rest of the wholedamnworld discovers these guys.

Guys, that would be a pretty freakin expensive subscription, and you'd have to commit to ALL he characters and releases, unpainted and the like...including characters you might not be crazy about like Jinja-R or Gatchigon....

But it would keep you from having to scour auctions and worry about what's getting released at each festival/show in Japan...

Still sounds like it would be super expensive...if we're assuming $60 a figure......

its nice that RxH has been releasing a lot of figure pretty fast i think it is contributing to keeping the cost down as people have to be more picky and only pick up the sculpts they like

I think an RXH N. American club would be great. Chances for us to go in on lotterys and other club type goodies.

hopefully it would be 3800yen a figure, and I would accept all the flesh and cripe releases for 1 of the expo chaosman, fruity pebbles etc.

the problem here is, some of moris figures are limited to 10-15 pieces, this leaves room for only 10-15 members, then none for collectors outside the club?

sounds pretty tough to pull off, but I would give my left kidney/testicle for a place in that subscriber club.

The RealxHead brand continues to get diluted and drift.
Years ago, it had a mystique and mystery, now it seems more like a commodity.

First with all of the non-Mori limited runs.
Then with people spending mad money.
Now with the talk of of annual subscriptions.

Dangerously drifting towards [expletive deleted] land.

Waiting for Tilt or Filth or another "graff" artist to do a limited-run.

Sad.

Just saying...

Just so we're clear on this, if I fish a Mutant Head, that took a dive, out of a toilet, you are ready to paypal? Just asking, of course.

I hope Mori doesn't continue releasing "Sets" of figures. The black with gold spray is kinda weak and there are a lot of them.

The release schedule has quickened a lot in a year, when SB tried this they killed the market and people gave up. I think there were 12 releases in Aug, even at retail (US retail) this is about $700 in a month.

I'm not nuts about sets myself, I kind of like a diverse collection of characters and colors not all matching when it comes to RxH. I think the only sets I have are the Kozik Pickle ones (they glow, gotta get em all!) and if I can get the Toy Karma Chaos I'll have the Minty green collection. But yeah, sets get boring to me, I just try to nab what I like best within reason.

Yeh that's why i changed my mind on a subsciption but a club thing could be cool. Having a lottery within the club so that only a few club members get the exclusive could make things interesting and spread the mystery around a little. Sort of like how Maxtoy does their exclusives.
