one of my arms is REALLY loose, like falls out loose... Can I remold it by heating it again? I think it's the hole, not the arm so much. |

I'm focusing mostly on this : "I think it's the hole, not the arm so much." This could go so many ways.... |

This is, I was really concious of what I was writing, right up to the end, when the phone rang and I was typing and talking. I knew it was a loaded post. Anyway, really, I'm not too keen on my arm falling off. |

audiodifficulties wrote: And a potentially constructive thread dies a filthy death. hey it could still be constructive. back on track here.... try reheating it. i've had limited experience heating my toys up like this, but i would imagine you would be able to re-form it again. |

how would you get the arm hole to shrink though if it has been stretched out? that's a tough one. could you heat it up super hot and then throw it in your freezer right away? maybe try that...i dunno??? |

Plastic has a memory - when heated it will return to it's molded original form. If the arm has a deform to it from say packed incorrectly or the arm hole has been malformed heating it should return it to it's original state. If it was molded that way then I guess your screwed. Sorry for trying to help out. |

Sorry for trying to help out. someone once told me to try heating it up and then submerging it it in ice cold water to get the shape. i've never successfully done this though |

Sorry for trying to help out. Not at all! Thanks a lot! I'll give it a shot & see what happens. Though the brainwashing thing will definitely be my back up plan. Update: Dr Tongue to the rescue! I thought I'd take the easy route so I dosed the lil vinyl fella with LSD, spun twirly things in front of him, forced him to to listen to whale songs with subliminal messges embedded in them and nothing happened... So I took out the big guns... popped him on the heater for a few and sure enough, he remembered what he was supposed to do. and he's glowing LAMF! but that may just be the lsd... Thank you! |
