it reminded me of a hudokko release - rough sculpt - bright rasta colors, but seemed a little rough around the edges. there are some folks who are really liking this guy. |

Man, I am torn here. I really, really, really like the Clap Monster stuff but that price is making me shy away. I also think the colors could be a little better. Shucks. |

I actually love the colors, looks like blood draining from it's mouth, but the price got me. I was all ready to jump in on this ugly duck, and than saw the tag and I doubt I will now, unless they're still around in a month come pay day. |

Nice crudeness. Is this an original character or something old? Kind of a mix between zagoran and mightin. |

Here's the link. It is a dark picture - mostly illuminated by a full moon, as I recall. http://omni-monster.blogspot.com/2007/09/zaran-by-clap-monster.html |

First time that I've seen a profile photo, didn't realize that the sculpt was so pudgy. |

I like the crudeness, the one eye and it really has a 'personality', especially in Taros pic. |

I was bummed when I missed it during Karma...since it looked kind of interesting on the merch table... but now I'm glad...also, the lazyness of two painted yellow versions one after the other bodes badly to me...Cronic did it in the early days but covered the entire sculpt so it appeared to be a new color...maybe CM has limited funds, but this just doesn't do it for me...my wallet is breathing a sigh of relief... crude can be so good, but this just seems off...yuck. lorne |

I think that the Clap Monster is not so much "chubby" as "deep bodied". From the front, he looks much "thinner." I think that in part, it is the Roto pic that makes him look rotund, but I don't notice it really "in person." Here are some archived pics I had of the first version, from various perspectives. You be the judge. Should we put Clapper on a diet? Or is he within normal range for his age and height?
