Anyone know anything about the origin of the word "Docross?"

Docross returns to its Kaijin roots.

I am going to guess that it is a combination of Dokuro (referring to a weathered skull, e.g., Dokuro King) + Cross (i.e., the skull crossed with the dual dragon heads). Hence, Do-ku-ro-su.

akum6n beat me to it, but I was thinking the same thing. That explanation seems to make a good bit of sense.

Thank you akum6n and bansheebot. Your understanding of Japanese is much appreciated. All I can do is count to five, a residual of youthful judo lessons. :-)

I wish I knew more about the origin of the Docross figure as well, and what it means to the creator. It doesn't seem to relate directly to the Blopbus/Blobpi/Dokugan/LK/Cyclopus family.

Since Docross was a collaboration between MM and the Skull Toys guy, I'm not sure if it 'fits' into the Blobpus world. I do recall that there was a brief explanation on the origin of Docross on the MM blog. I'll try to dig it up.
